The Center for Real Estate will host a program-specific orientation for the MSRED students.
In addition, the Office of Graduate Education will host orientation events for all MIT graduate students.

MSRED Director Walter Torous will orient you to the program and the Center

Orientation/Registration Overview/CRE Lecture Hall
Assistant Director for Academic Administration Mary Hughes will review orientation and registration materials as well as important opportunities for MSRED students.

12:00 pm-1:30 pm

Industry Partnerships + Professional Programs/CRE Lecture Hall
James Scott, Director of Industry + Professional Program, will introduce the CRE's ongoing collaboration with leaders in the global real estate industry.

CRE Info Technology/CRE Lecture Hall
Casey Eyring, IT Manager for the CRE will orient students to IT needs, including certificates, printing, plotting, calendar access and more.

THURSDAY, 9/3

Office of Graduate Education (OGE) Central Orientation

Required Orientation sessions in Kresge Auditorium. These sessions will include, but are not limited to, information on MIT values, GradSupport Resources, the Graduate Student Union, and a welcome from President Kornbluth. Lunch will also be provided afterwards. 

1:30-5:00 pm
Financial Workshop /CRE Lecture Hall

Lead by Tod McGrath, this workshop is intended to prep all students for the semester to ensure there is a baseline understanding of various financial concepts.

Graduate Student Union Presentation

11.450 Building Systems Walking Tour of Seaport
Join Yanni Tsipis, Senior VP for WS Development and CRE Instructor for a walking tour of the Seaport neighborhood of Boston. This will  serve as the first session of your building systems class. Meet at 1:45 pm sharp in front of Building 9/105 Mass Ave.

Alumni Association Center for Real Estate (AACRE) (PENDING CONFIRMATION)
A representative from the AACRE will provide an overview of the activities and events organized by the AACRE as well as answer questions you may have about life post-MSRED.

All students are required to meet with their Academic Advisor to have their fall registration approved.
