New Student Onboarding
After accepting admission, there are a series of items you will need to do to onboard as a new student to MIT
MIT CERTIFICATES
All students will need to download MIT Certificates to their computers in order to have to access course websites, registration information, visa process and procedures for international students, housing information, and your student account with Student Financial Services, among other things.
You should complete this step as soon as possible or you will not be able to access certain MIT sites.
When you arrive on campus, be sure to sign up for MIT Alerts for your phone and email. This service automatically notifies you of any emergencies on campus (including snow days!)
ATLAS APP
Community members can use MIT Atlas to activate their digital MIT ID, access campus, find and reserve Zoom Rooms, register travel details, and get help from IS&T via 24/7 live chat.
TECHNOLOGY
As an MIT student, you have access to discounts on computer purchases through MIT's agreements with a handful of companies. To access these discounts, Visit MIT’s Information Services & Technology (IS&T) and select the “vendor’s online education store” link in the second paragraph to access student/educational discount links for Dell, Apple, and Lenovo.
Students who wish to make extensive use of Excel modeling software, may want to consider purchasing a PC instead of a Mac.

If you wish to be included, please complet the following steps:
