Orientation
Orientation is designed to help you 'place-make' at the CRE and MIT, become more familiar with the upcoming academic year, what to expect, and what will be expected of you. It will help you prepare to jump into a rigorous academic schedule.
MSRED Class of 2025 Orientation dates are Monday, August 26-Friday, August 30, 2024.
The orientation incorporates events that are administrative, academic, and social in nature.
Orientation is compulsory for incoming students, including dual degree students.
Identification Cards/Access
Your Atlas dashboard is where you will find information about obtaining an MIT ID Card. Your cards will retain your campus access (classroom and residential buildings), your public transportation membership (should you choose to sign up for an MBTA Pass), as well as various spaces at the Center for Real Estate.
International Students: Until you attend an Orientation Session hosted by the International Student's Office (ISO) you will not be able to obtain an ID card.
